First time at this restaurant, first customers in at 1745 and it slowly picked up. Helpful staff, lovely food. Take a cardigan as air con is on so can get cold depending where you are sat. The food was clean, spicy and hot. I would consider this over a typical curry house when next in town.
It is a very nice restaurant for Nepalese & Indian cuisine. Located near to the Colchester Town Station & Bus station has good access to public transportation, it is very spacious, cosy and neatly maintained. Staffs were extremely friendly and provided excellent service. They also serve beer and liquor. We had a good dining experience here. Highly recommend their veg and chicken momos, especially the steamed one.

This place does excellent food that's a cut above your average curry house. I ordered a Lamb Rogan with a Vindaloo level of spice and they knocked it out of the park. Definitely my favourite curry place in town!
Massively rate Yak and Yeti! Their food is always top quality. As Londoners who have moved up to Colchester, we struggled to find a good quality Indian restaurant. Then we found Yak and Yeti - an Indian/Nepalese restaurant that offers fantastic food and lovely staff. We have had both take away and eaten in and every time is lovely. It’s not cheap - especially for the area but you know you always get brilliant food.
I had the best experience at the new and upgraded Yak & Yeti restaurant on the high street - a true gem in Colchester town centre. I came here with a few friends and everything was impressive - from the ambience to the staff to the food, there was nothing I could fault. The restaurant is very will lit, warm and comfortable. The new beer Khumbu Ice was especially crisp and fresh from the draught and I could see this going down a treat across the restaurant. The food was so flavoursome and tender - my particular favourites were the Lasooni Piro Lamb and Tandoori Broccoli! And what was great to see was the variety of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. And finally all the items were served with a smile with the waiters being especially friendly and attentive. I cannot wait to return! Thank you Yak & Yeti for the great all round experience!
